Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about VIntercept's autonomous SOC platform, deployment models, pricing, and compliance posture.

Solomon SOC

What is Solomon SOC?

Solomon SOC is VIntercept's flagship product — an AI-native, self-hosted autonomous Security Operations Center. Its Hive Mind Defense architecture deploys four specialist agents (Spectre, Cipher, Argus, Sentinel) that investigate threats the way an experienced analyst would — enriching context, correlating indicators, mapping to MITRE ATT&CK, and recommending response actions — in seconds instead of hours.

How is Solomon SOC different from a SIEM with AI features?

Most AI-augmented security tools bolt a language model onto an existing architecture — adding a chatbot or natural language query interface. Solomon SOC is a ground-up Hive Mind Defense architecture. The agents don't just classify alerts; they reason through full investigation workflows autonomously, with a Deterministic Safety Boundary preventing hallucination-driven actions.

Does Solomon SOC replace my existing SIEM?

Solomon SOC can complement or replace your SIEM depending on your architecture. It ingests telemetry directly from endpoints, network devices, identity providers, and cloud services through a high-throughput event pipeline. For organizations that want to maintain their existing SIEM, Solomon SOC can operate alongside it, consuming the same data sources.

What happens when Solomon SOC detects a threat?

Solomon SOC produces an analyst-grade investigation report with MITRE ATT&CK mapping, evidence chain, risk assessment, and response recommendation. For Contain, Remediate, or Control actions — endpoint isolation, credential rotation, firewall rules — Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) approval is mandatory. The system recommends; the human decides.

Deployment

What deployment models are supported?

Single-node, clustered, and fully air-gapped. We work with your infrastructure team during the guided POC to determine the right deployment model for your environment.

Can I deploy in an air-gapped environment?

Yes. Solomon SOC is designed for air-gapped deployment with zero external network dependencies. All AI models, threat intelligence, and updates are delivered via secure transfer mechanisms.

What hardware is required?

VIntercept requires GPU infrastructure for AI inference — NVIDIA A100, H100, or equivalent. Specific sizing depends on your environment scale and is determined during the guided POC scoping process.

Does any data leave my network?

No. VIntercept runs the entire AI inference stack locally. The data plane and intelligence plane are co-located within your infrastructure. There are no cloud API calls, no external dependencies, and no telemetry sent outside your perimeter.

Pricing

How does per-node pricing work?

A "node" is a monitored endpoint or server. Pricing scales linearly with the number of nodes under management. Contact us for a quote based on your environment size.

Is there a proof-of-concept option?

Yes. We offer a guided POC with dedicated engineering support deployed directly in your environment. Contact us to scope your POC requirements.

Do you offer MSSP licensing?

Our MSSP partner program is launching soon. Contact us at contact@vintercept.ai to express interest and join the early partner cohort.

Compliance & Security

Is VIntercept HIPAA compliant?

VIntercept's architecture is designed for HIPAA-ready deployment — all patient data and security telemetry remains within your infrastructure. BAA available upon request.

What about SOC 2 certification?

SOC 2 Type II certification is in progress. Contact us for current compliance documentation.

How does VIntercept prevent AI hallucinations from causing harm?

VIntercept architecturally separates probabilistic reasoning (LLM-powered agents) from deterministic enforcement (policy and validation engine). The AI layer cannot directly execute actions. Every proposed action passes through a deterministic validation pipeline, and human approval is required for destructive operations.
